New Zealand urges citizens to leave Iraq



Wellington: The New Zealand government has urged its citizens to leave Iraq, a media report said on Friday.

The New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and trade advised kiwis not to travel to Iraq and recommended people to leave the country if they were worried about their safety, New Zealand Radio reported.

Islamist forces reported to be within 25 km of range from Baghdad`s International Airport.

Australian officials were also urging its nationals to leave Iraq as soon as possible while the airport is still open.
