COMENT BY PAWAN ON GOPALA GOPALA

After a brief hiatus, Pawan Kalyan is back in action. Sources say that he has joined the sets of Gopala Gopala, which is currently being shot in Hyderabad. The film is a remake of a critically acclaimed Hindi film, OMG - Oh My God and the Telugu version has Venkatesh and Shriya in lead roles, whereas Pawan Kalyan will appear as a God. Dolly is directing the film and it's being jointly produced by Suresh Babu and Sharath Marar. So far, the actor shot for just five days and he's expected to complete most part of his shooting in the ongoing schedule. On the other hand, there's no clarity over his upcoming film Gabbar Singh 2. Sampath Nandi was supposed to direct the film and it remains to be seen if the film gets a green signal or not, immediately after Pawan Kalyan wraps up Gopala Gopala.

SMART CITY

As the global population continues to grow at a steady pace, more and more people are moving to cities every single day

Experts predict the world’s urban population will double by 2050 – which means we’re adding the equivalent of seven New York Cities to the planet every single year. As our planet becomes more urban, our cities need to get smarter. To handle this large-scale urbanization, we’ll need to find new ways to manage complexity, increase efficiency, reduce expenses, and improve quality of life.
With this rapid growth ahead of us, imagine if our cities could talk—if they could give us live status updates on traffic patterns, pollution, parking spaces, water, power and light. Imagine how that kind of information could improve the economic and environmental health of the city for residents, merchants, and visitors. Imagine how it could improve working conditions and productivity for the people who maintain the city.
Emerging technologies are poised to reshape our urban environments. Using ultra-low power sensors, wireless networks, and web and mobile-based applications, Smart Cities are becoming a reality.

The world's most pierced man, Rolf Buchholz, says airport workers told him officials were concerned he could be a practitioner of black magic

A heavily-tattooed German man whose face is embellished with horn implants and more than 100 piercings said Sunday he was refused entry to Dubai without reason, forcing him to skip a planned appearance at a nightclub.
His look may have been a step too far for the Gulf's most liberal city, where a carefully cultivated reputation for tolerance and cutting-edge cosmopolitanism occasionally clashes with the region's conservative Islamic values.
Rolf Buchholz, 55, was travelling to the Middle Eastern commercial hub for the first time last week to appear at a circus-themed venue that woos partygoers with over-the-top attractions such as sword swallowers and burlesque dancers.
He told The Associated Press that immigration agents initially stamped his passport and let him through, but that he was stopped again before he was able to exit customs. He soon found himself in a room with other deportees.
The club said in an emailed statement that airport authorities cited "security reasons" in denying him entry. Buchholz said airport workers told him officials were concerned he could be a practitioner of black magic, though authorities did not say so directly.

Airport and immigration officials referred questions to the police, who could not be reached for comment.
Buchholz, an information technology professional from Dortmund, Germany, had been scheduled to appear at the Cirque le Soir nightclub in Dubai's Fairmont Hotel on Friday.
The club opened in 2011 and promises a little bit of everything: "Stilt walkers, midgets, contortionists, tattooed dancers, jugglers, drummers ... magicians and fire eaters," according to its website.
Alcohol flows freely in Dubai bars and clubs, which are typically attached to hotels, and revellers dress just as chicly and skimpily as they would in the West.
But while Dubai is far more laid-back than nearby Saudi Arabia or Qatar, traditional Islamic values remain strong, particularly among members of the local population who are far outnumbered by foreign residents.
Actions deemed insulting to local values, including public displays of affection, public intoxication and disrespect for religion, can lead to fines and jail time.
Jad Lahoud, the executive director of Pragma Lifestyle, the company that runs the Dubai branch of the club, said it was "a shame that Rolf couldn't join us this time."
"Cirque le Soir Dubai always strives to bring unique entertainment and concepts to the UAE, however we will always act in line with the laws that govern this nation," he added in an emailed statement.
Buchholz tweeted shortly after he was ordered to leave that he would never come back to Dubai.
But by Sunday, he seemed to be reconsidering. He said he would be happy to return if he had government assurance he'd be let in – though he conceded that might yet be a long shot.
"I have two horns. I think that was also a problem for me in Dubai," he said.

Man arrested for murdering live-in partner in South Delhi

NEW DELHI: A 32-year-old man has been arrested for murdering his live-in partner in their flat in Neb Sarai, south Delhi, after he was fed up with her increasing demand for money.

The incident was reported on September 17 when locals complained of a foul smell emanating from the flat where the man, Pankaj, lived with Seema. Neighbours claimed they had seen the couple fighting a few days before Seema's decomposed body was found in the house.

On investigating, cops found that they had been living together for the past four years after they came here from Mumbai

Prime Minister Modi On Madison Square

'I have a Dream,' Prime Minister Modi Confides to Audience in Madison Square Garden

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a dream - housing for every Indian before a decade is over. On American soil, in a nod to civil rights movement leader Martin Luther King, PM Modi said, "I have a dream... by 2022, there should be no one in India without a roof over hishead."
The year 2022 is important for India, the PM reminded his audience - the Indian diaspora at New York's Madison Square Garden. "It will be 75 years of our Independence, an important landmark in Indian culture".
The Prime Minister confided that he had another cherished goal as well - providing a clean India to Mahatma Gandhi by 2019, the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation.

"Two things were dear to Gandhiji - India's freedom and cleanliness. Is it not our responsibility to pay a tribute to him by cleaning our country?" the Prime Minister said.(Read: 'Gandhi Was An NRI Like You': PM Narendra Modi At Madison Square Garden)

Almost as an aside regarding his passion for a clean India - which finds mention in almost every speech - the Prime Minister said, "I've decided to build toilets. People tell me I have a grand vision, I tell them I began by selling tea. I am a small man, so I focus on small things."

More than 30,000 people across the US had registered for free tickets for today's event. Those who failed to get a ticket, milled around Times Square watching the programme on giant television screens.
